Wisdom for practice

Wisdom is for practice, not for continuous speaking. If we keep on speaking about the Masters, the Rays, and the Hierarchies, we are only missing our duties for the present.

Wisdom is applied knowledge

Knowledge, when applied becomes wisdom. We gain a lot of knowledge, but it has to be applied in daily life, then it transforms itself into wisdom. Through wisdom we will experience the existence.

Wisdom spreads itself

We need not be anxious to spread the wisdom without working it with ourselves. It is a wrong understanding if one thinks that he can spread wisdom. Wisdom knows how to spread itself. It only needs channels.

Mystic and Occultist

From Faith to Science

Mystic and Occultist

Today there are countless books on many aspects of wisdom, and we are bombarded with wisdom. If such a book accidentally falls into our hands, we might think that we could study and understand it and then have the related knowledge. But it is not so and never will be.

Many today follow the path of the Divine without knowing what they are doing and even less they can explain it to their children. There are so many theologies and schools of thought with which the aspirants play around like children. In their pursuit of a mysterious truth, they overlook the basis of truth: whether it be an occult, mental, emotional or physical thought, the basis for all thoughts and the basis for happiness is 'I Am'.

Every person has already made a certain journey and everyone starts again from some point. Some continue on the emotional plane, others on the mental plane. The presentation of truth changes according to the stage of evolution. Humanity has reached a stage in its progress where it demands a more advanced teaching for proper mental development. In this Age of Aquarius, the method of advancement is based on knowledge. Uranus, the ruler of Aquarius, is the cosmic scientist. Therefore, in the Age of Aquarius, there is a shift of emphasis from faith to science, even in yoga. The spiritual exercises become more and more scientific and are based less and less on faith or belief. People want to understand how they are a soul and how life and intelligent activity work in them.

We should first know and then act. It is better if we realize each step correctly and walk consciously, because only then we can consciously give information to a fellow traveller or to someone who follows us. When we invoke OM or sing the Gayatri, we should know what we are doing and align ourselves with the light of the soul. However, knowledge for the sake of knowledge is of no use; enthusiasm and interest must be examined with regards to purpose and motive. As long as we do not know the purpose of our learning, we are prevented from entering the occult sciences.

Religion, Mysticism, Occultism

Religion generally speaks of faith. Emotional people who have not yet developed on the mental plane need faith in order to make progress. Religion is based on devoted and idealistic attitudes and not on scientific recognition of the invisible. The mystic strives for the experience of union with God and approaches through feelings. He practices meditation and worship, and he demands enlightenment. His deep search for God implies that because of his intense striving, God suddenly revealed to him. But he does not know that the revelation accorded in reality is related only to God immanent, the soul, and not to God transcendent. He does not know that he only just perceived something that has always been there. Mystics who are focused on Christ regard him as somewhere in heaven, but not within themselves.

The occultist deals with the divine aspects of mind, soul and body, with the divine energies, qualities and principles. He explores the hidden causes behind external effects, the meanings, laws and relationships behind all life and experiences. An occultist is only a mystic who is active on a higher plane, the mind. With him, divine knowledge and divine wisdom substitute the mystical access via emotion. He has surpassed the emotion, but he does not reject it.

Superficial persons inclined to mysticism believe that occultism and its academic information are of no true importance in relation to the divine. The reason for this reaction against occultism is the mental laziness of the mystical mind. A developed mystic, however, sees God in all forms of faith; he leads a life of humility and without self-interest.

For the mystic, the time will come when he will not only follow the path of the heart, but also the path of the head, for the goals of both paths are the same awareness of reality, the attainment of divinity. In due course of time, the mystic will become an occultist. The occultist cannot progress spiritually until he completes the path of knowledge with the path of love.

In this Age of Aquarius, the occult side of man is more and more realised scientifically and the content of the old occult scriptures is confirmed anew. For an increasingly large number, occultism is a source and a system of revelation. Occultism is the study of God in the universe, in nature and in man. Occultism means to see and hear beyond the apparent. These abilities are within us, and we should gain the required implements. For this we should study the science of man and the science of the cosmos. To study one without the other leads to lopsided development.

Religions that have demanded emotional feelings and blind faith will have to dissolve and die. This is a result of the Aquarian energy. This was predicted by Madame Blavatsky at the end of the 19th century. Occult teachings lead humanity forward, carrying man’s consciousness to higher levels and influencing human thought on a large scale. It will, in due time, salvage our civilization.

Danger of Occult Powers

There is currently a deep scepticism in our society towards occultism, whereby occultism is equated with the striving for occult powers. The scientific exploration of divine wisdom, however, differs from it. Clairaudience, clairvoyance, intuitional interpretation of occult sciences, such as astrology, palmistry, etc. are not part of truth seeking. Those who are blessed with such faculties need not necessarily be the realized ones. But when we are in poise, such forces can develop. However, if we use these powers for personal purposes, we tend to grow in personality and stand the danger of slipping into egoism. In such case, the occult facilities are withdrawn by nature.

Astrology is an occult science, and an occult science demands intuition. Intuition is not only a gift of God, but also the result of one's dedication to service. Where occult sciences are practiced to help the fellow beings, intuition works better.

As one relentlessly pursues truth, one stabilizes himself in the quality of poise and passes over into the state of pure consciousness, the state of truth.

Such ones strengthen themselves in the quality of balance and pass over to the state of pure consciousness, the state of truth. In this state, the occult faculties are natural; they are by-products of being with the truth beyond the triangle of qualities and they are not acquired faculties. If we cling to the occult faculties, the pursuit of truth disappears and we stand unaccomplished.

Eastern Mystics and Occultists

In the East, there are more mystics than occultists. Shirdi Sai Baba or Satya Sai Baba are mystics, including Ramakrishna, the Master of Vivekananda. They are very highly accomplished beings who have done a stupendous job and continue to work without a body. We can never understand the ways of a mystic. Shirdi Sai Baba could sometimes be angry for no apparent reason and in the next moment calm and peaceful like a deep lake. He was unpredictable.

Then there are also occultists, for example, Master CVV, Ramana Maharshi and also Sri Aurobindo. They also have helped people.

Master CVV was a scientist. Even though his work may be very mystical for us, he was not a mystic. He said, “This is a way of direct knowledge. I do not allow blind faith.” He was very scientific in his experiments; he kept checking all the connections he had reached. His notebooks are full of notes of scientific observations that no one else can understand. He wrote down the date and time and also recorded the results of his experiments of the day. When disciples told him that no one could decipher his notes, he replied: “The notes are for me, not for you; you should follow the teachings given to you, not my notes.”

When Master CVV transmitted the energies of Uranus, people could not unrstand him.ord Maitreya directs the Neptunian energies for our planet; they enable the bliss of deep mystical experiences. When we connect with Neptune and Uranus, that is, with Lord Maitreya and Master CVV, then we are able to receive their energies within us so that we can be beautifully rearranged in a scientific way.
