DEVAPI
MAHARSHI PASSION – DISPASSION - DESPAIR - DEPRESSION |
|
Dispassion is dangerous. Be passionate for a right cause. Passion is dynamic. Dispassion leads to static state. Be passionate to the Truth, to the light, to service, to study. Passion comes from the Mother Nature. Passion is the double-edged weapon. It can cut either way. Right use of passion is what makes one progressive. If you remain dispassionate you turn to be inert. A veil of illusion falls around you when you are dispassionate. It leads you to distorted thinking. Distorted thinking drives you to distorted doctrines. The dangers of inaction are too many. Therefore we recommend passion to dispassion and to channelize such passion into right action. Find out what is dear to you and see if it is useful to society. Let your energies flow in that direction in a passionate manner so that you become much more lively and the fruits of your action are enjoyed by the surrounding life. If you are overpowered by despair and dispassion the mind tends to be blank. It gets dispirited and becomes excessively self-critical. In such a situation, even friendly suggestions seem bitter. Such ones reject help from others and reject help from within. Such ones tend to fall into depressions. Depressions cannot be cured unless one is driven into channels of activity which are utmost dear to them. True friends shall have to find what is dear to the depressed ones and cooperate patiently with them to pull them out of such depressions. |
