Argentina

 

Name of the group: The World Teacher Trust - Argentina

 

Buenos Aires

Meetings are held alternately at the locations of the different groups, namely: The Theosophical Library, Tristán González Library, Antahkarana Group and Sudama Group.

 

 

Name of the group: Group of Youngsters, Buenos Aires

Activities: 

  • Meetings every second Sunday for exchange and reading sessions.

Name of the group: The Theosophical Library, Buenos Aires

The premises are available for all the groups to perform meditations, reading sessions, classes and other spiritual events.

Activities:

  • Cultural activities like music and singing concerts.
  • One Friday a month, a Fraternity Supper to raise funds to assist activities of various popular dining-places.
  • Every week-end workshops on Hatha Yoga, Tai Chi Chuan and Basics of Theosophy, as well as Colloquial Talks. On Sundays, public conferences on different aspects of Spirituality.
  • Organisation of Art Festivals in order to raise funds to assist poor schools in rural areas.
  • Making available the books of different Masters including those of Dr. E. Krishnamacharya and Dr. K. Parvathi Kumar; all of them being available for the public.

Name of the group: Ganesha-Group, Buenos Aires

Activities:

  • Weekly group meetings.
  • Talks for the general public to integrate new people into the group.
  • Study group

Name of the group: Tristán González Library, Buenos Aires

Activities:

  • Assistance to people in need and benefitting several popular dining-places at different neighbourhoods in communities throughout Argentina to provide a daily meal service to the poorest people. These dining-places are run and sustained by women and men of Goodwill who spontaneously contribute their work to their surrounding community. The dining-places receive little or no assistance from the local and national governments.
  • Teaching on Hatha Yoga and Tai Chi Chuan. Study & Commentaries, Colloquial Talks on different aspects of Spirituality.
  • Periodically gathering with the Sudama Group to visit hospitals, insane asylums, orphanages, and other hospices. Offering the inmates some food and candies, and trying to comfort them. Afterwards sharing of a meal.
  • Organization of music events.

Name of the group: Jupiter Group, Buenos Aires

Activities:

  • Redaction and publishing of the Spanish Vaisakh Round-Letter.
  • Transcribing tapes of seminars on astrology delivered by Dr. K. Parvathi Kumar.

Name of the group: Venus Group, Buenos Aires

Activities:

  • Collaboration with groups from the provinces of Córdoba, Santa Fe and La Pampa.
  • Distribution of funds for people in need.
  • Helping several dining halls and assistance centres all over and outside of Buenos Aires.
  • Circulating tapes and transcriptions of seminars given by Dr. K. Parvathi Kumar.

Activities:

  • Spiritual and evolutionary astrology
  • Sharing and exchanging teaching material from different schools of thought, thus making an integration of the different views.
  • Lectures and activities for the interested public regarding the teachings of the New Age of Aquarius.

Activities:

  • Formation of a reference library.
  • Conducting workshops on self-cognizance based on Astrology, open for the entire community.

Activities:

  • Study and group work, astrology.

Name of the group: W.T.T.-Group Harmony, Olavarría

Activities:

  • Working as a group that collaborates against poverty, in silence without mentioning the group.
  • Helping the Caritas’ dining-places since several years. Both dining-places function during the weekends as substitutes of school's dining-places.
  • Running a fund where each of the members contributes according to his possibilities.
  • With this fund providing the basic needs to the children who assist to the dining-rooms.

Activities:

  • Yoga and study groups.
  • Activities open to the public once a month.

Name of the group: Universo Group, Misiones

Activities:

 City of Eldorado

  • Assistance and support for several popular dining-places: very elementary rooms emplaced at different neighbourhoods to provide a daily free meal service to the poorest people.

Posadas

  • Volunteers’ Body of the Children’s Hospital, founded by one group-member.
  • Providing homeopathic medicine to sick people.
  • Astrology Workshops.

Province of Corrientes

  • Assistance to a “Center for the Handicapped”. This center offers daily education, technical training, professional treatment and food to the mentally and physically handicapped.

Universo Group, NGO

  • Intended to promote the general development of the community of the Province of Misiones in different fields: human, technical, economic, industrial, cultural and spiritual. The main areas of work are:
    • social organization, work and employment, human relations, public services, education, housing, security, health care, woman’s affairs, infancy, nourishment, family, vocational training, alternative production, community programs, environment, culture and art.
  • Participation in activities of other NGO’s with similar charitable purposes.
  • One member of the group is officially accredited by the provincial administration to represent the social interests of the province and interact with NGO’s and governmental institutions from all over the world.
  • Education: Dedication to improve the human and technical conditions in the primary education, and the secondary and university areas in the province.
  • Translation of books and conferences by Dr. Ekkirala Krishnamacharya and Dr. K. Parvathi Kumar.

Name of the group: Esoteric Healing Group of Montreal

Activities:

  • Practicing and integrating the esoteric concepts and techniques of healing
  • Treating patients in the group.
  • Different formal and informal services of group members.

Activities:

  • Organising regular group meetings in Miami.
  • Organising group livings with Dr. K. Parvathi Kumar.
  • Disseminating the books, mailings and cassettes of The World Teacher Trust to other groups in North, Central and South America.
  • Translating the round-letters of the Circle of Good Will, Switzerland, into Spanish.
  • Different individual Activities of the members.
